Hello to all the people on the zone. I have been on the zone for some time now.I have found a lot of younger teenagers on the site. I'm surprised that there are not more older adults on this site (27-32.)If anyone would like to talk to me that are in this age group. please write to me.

The best way to get people having certain characteristics would be to post to lists or something where those people are and tell them about the zone. We've gotten over 1,200 users so far mainly by word of mouth.

There are several age groups here. One is people under 18, then is 18 to 25, 25 to 35, 35 to 45 and above. Most of the zoner are in the groups of under 18 and 18 to 25. I would say about 60% of them. The group of 25 - 35 has about 20% and another 20% for the group of 35 - 45 and above. That is my estimate. It would be nice if the premium version would offer age group chat/quicknote options. So that people of the same more or less age can get together. Maybe 2 groups to begin with: below 18 to 25 and 25 to 45 and above. Just an idea.

I dunno.
I see the pint of it but I enjoy taking to people not knowing or caring how old they are. This way ou get subjected to different points of view, different ideas etc. While I can see people wanting this feature I, personally, would not really want it. I'm 27 just for the record, since October that is. :)
cheers

I agree with wild on this one, and if you had that kind of feature for premium users, that would lead to these cleaks forming, and I don't like that at all, leave the cleaks to www.for-the-people.com

Hi happy,
Well since our private quicknote conversation yesterday, I guess I can join this topic. I wish there were more 40 plus folk out here, and there are a few, but most of the ones I know from the blind women over 45 email list are such game addicts, they don't want to be bothered. I'm going through the profiles little by little, trying to find out if maybe there are more people in my age group who are here, but just don't post. As forcliques, renegad e rocker is definitely right about for the people, they claim to be for everyone, but they really aren't, but I guess that's another topic for another day, another board, which board, I don't know. I think there just cliques in every age group, even amongst 40 plus, but it's more likely that people in the same age group have more in common than most people who are 20 or 25 years apart in age. I have thought about it, and I do wish there were as many people 40 and up to sort of ballance things out, but just haven't said much, because the admins and leaders can't do anything about it, and it's noone's fault that there more younger people than there older. Of course, I think that with my ttwo disibilities, my interests are more limited than most people's, making it to the point where I don't have much in common with any particular age group. "After all, when you are a child whose legs are subject to break almost every time you fall, you don't get in to sports, and just listening and not doing has never really been my thing. Well anyway, that's my spin on it, sorry for the rather lengthy andrambling post, and I hope it wasn't out of line for the younger folk. I hope it made sense. Everybody take care and have a nice day,

well renegade_ rocker, the first time i was on here with the quicknotes, before I turned the public ones off, I tried twice to get in the conversation about ventrilo, and I was ignored both times? so that was a clique there then.
